Victims of Power
In their perpetually-escalating quest for power, America's elite and their radical political acolytes have declared open season on the enemies of their regime.
March 17: Nashville, Tennessee
On a sunny Monday morning, police responded to a shooting at a school in Nashville, Tennessee. The politics of despair and hopelessness that are driving these shootings have certainly worsened during the COVID years, so the story was not out of the ordinary. But events then began to accelerate rapidly. The shooter had murdered 6 victims at a Christian private school: the Covenant School in the Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville. Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney: all innocent 9-year-old children, along with adults Cynthia Peak, Mike Hill, and Katherine Koonce. Six beautiful souls snuffed out in an instant of unbridled rage by a maniac. Police were tight-lipped, and the media wasn’t sure what to make of it at first. To some this seemed like just another in a long list of school shootings. But one characteristic of our terminally online society is that nothing stays a secret for long.
Rumors began to circulate online that the shooter was trans, and that the school had been targeted for religious purposes, which was soon confirmed. The shooter had deliberately targeted the school, leaving a manifesto behind that police, strangely, have yet to release. But the message was clear: a Christian school targeted by a trans shooter, in retribution for perceived wrongs. As expected, the reaction from the media to this revelation was swift. But instead of the typical outpouring of sympathy for the victims that usually colors our discourse around school shootings, we saw something else entirely.
The media painted the shooter as a victim incapable of taking responsibility due to their position in the intersectional hierarchy. CBS even banned the use of the word “transgender” in their coverage, despite its apparent relevance to the motive. Justifications for the shooting were ham-handedly vomited onto viewers in a shock-and-awe campaign to explain away the murderer’s responsibility. ABC colored their coverage with comments about Tennessee’s recent law which banned genital mutilation surgeries from being performed on minors (as if that justifies murdering 6 people). Media and political commentators racked up thousands of engagements online with tweets mocking Christians for not “praying enough” to prevent the shooting, blaming the NRA, and using it to lambast conservatives instead of even pretending to care about introspection. Major media organizations agonized over making sure they got the shooters gender identity correct. Before the day was done on March 28, the narrative seemed to flirt with painting it as a justified reaction of an oppressed minority: a karmic act of cosmic social justice. It was disorienting, and extreme, even for the current state of our political discourse.
“Tennessee, which ironically is the Scopes Monkey Trial state... They now are racing to enact these first amendment-limiting laws to limit things like drag shows. You have rampant book banning. I think Tenn. might be the most book banning state, even more than Florida" crooned Joy Reid, in an attempt to justify this latest spate of violence against her political enemies. “…maybe you guys shouldn’t bully people about who they are” intoned Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks, hand-waving away the 6 bodies which were still warm. By the way, the laws Joy Reid is referring to only ban sexually promiscuous shows and pornographic books in the presence of children, not outright. It’s unclear when the act of showing children disgusting pornography became a subject of controversy worthy of debate, as if it wasn’t clear that doing so was predatory for all human history. If you want to know why such a ban is appropriate, I suggest you look up some of these incidents via social media accounts like Libs of TikTok, where the depravity can be seen for what it is – predatory grooming dressed up in the camouflage of bright plumage, activist rhetoric, and grievance politics. This is intersectionality 101.
Activists began to gloat about the shooting. One viral tweet read, “Fuck this. Oppressed minorities strike back, and if you don’t want it to happen, stop oppressing them”. Apparently, preventing adult men who dress like women from stripping and gyrating in front of toddlers is now referred to as oppression, though I would just opt to just call it what it is – performance pedophilia. It gets worse: a ‘Trans Day of Vengeance’ planned by the activist group Our Rights DC was posted on March 23, just 4 days prior to the shooting. No one knows if this inspired the shooter, but it’s difficult to ignore the rhetorical implications of calling for vengeance. They finally were pressured into cancelling the event days after the shooting, but headlines painted the group as just a poor victim of oppressive and unspecified “threats”.
LGBTQ+ groups also objected to releasing the shooter’s manifesto, saying that doing so might have “serious consequences” (which sounds more like a threat than a sincere concern). The media was quick to justify such reactions with headlines like this one from NBC: ‘Fear Pervades Tennessee’s Trans Community Amid Focus on Nashville Shooter’s Gender Identity’. It was becoming clear that something deeper was going on here than the shooting itself. From the media’s perspective, the real victims in this vicious attack weren’t the innocent children who will never get to go to another soccer game, or the families who must bury their babies, or Christians, but rather the ‘trans community’. The real shooters, it is implied, are the Christians themselves due to their status as oppressors in the intersectional hierarchy.
The Biden Administration took the opportunity to continue this line of pretzel logic and push its radical social agenda. Instead of remembering the victims and their families, they used their dead bodies as soapboxes from which to push for more gun control, fearmongering, and trans activism, claiming that that the trans community is “under attack” (and by whom, they mean all their political enemies). This line echoed the media and activist attempts to justify the shooting as some overdue act of self-defense against conservatives.
It was mind-numbing. To have the White House and its political surrogates extolling the ideology of the shooter and refusing to acknowledge the victims in press conferences left a dark feeling in the air. Activists flooded the streets to celebrate ‘Trans Awareness Week’ in the aftermath of the shooting. 3 days later, activists stormed multiple state capitol buildings, breaking through police cordons and flooding the Tennessee statehouse with cries of “seven fingers, seven victims” (referring to the shooter as the “seventh” victim is as bizarre as it is obtuse). They claimed that this shooting justified the elimination of the 2nd Amendment whole cloth, like a conquering army forcing those they didn’t kill in the battle to convert to their ways.
The White House continued its disturbing rhetoric by praising “trans youth” for their outbursts, extoling that, “They are fierce. They fight back.” Just a few days after these comments, trans activists cornered and held hostage Riley Gaines, a speaker at San Francisco State University, because she dared to speak about the right to free and fair sports for women. She was physically assaulted and forced to shelter in a room for hours, and at one point a ransom was even demanded. The University’s reaction? Leadership lauded the activists with pride and praise, rewarding them for attacking an innocent woman on their own campus.
Madonna (who is somehow was able to contort what remains of her face enough to lip sync her old music) decided to hold a benefit concert for the trans community, in Nashville, announcing it just 4 days after the shooting. That same day the White House bragged it would be hosting a ‘Roundtable on Affirming Transgender Kids’, confirming the fears of parents that trans ideology and its activists seek to groom children into what increasingly looks like a sexual castration cult driven by pharmaceutical greed, political expediency, and pseudoscience. They posted repeatedly across social media about “trans rights” the entire week following the shooting, obsessively celebrating the shooter’s identity and ideology in the wake of the murders.
Additionally, nearly every major corporation jumped in on the action. Bud Light announced it had picked a trans man as its new spokesman. Even the Country Music Television Awards featured drag queens in its performance: again, in Nashville. Even the National Weather Service couldn’t help itself, strangely posting about a ‘Transgender Day of Visibility’ in the wake of the tragedy. The Canadian Government announced its sponsorship of a Drag Summer Camp for children aged 7-11, showcasing its institutional power. You can add Nike, Jack Daniels, and nearly every other major corporation to the list of organizations who chose this exact moment, with dead bodies still in the morgue, to aggressively push trans ideology onto their customers without prompting.
Now, you might be thinking – Bud Light? Country music? The National Weather Service? What in the world do any of these things have to do with trans activism? In the last 5 years, gender ideology has skyrocketed in popularity, especially among younger people. Nearly 20% of Gen Z identified as some form of LGBTQ+, showcasing the powerful effects of government funding and patronage systems, media adulation, academic obsession, and social contagion in our society. Every day, parents are discovering sexually explicit material in the libraries of their children’s schools, or a video of drag queens dancing provocatively in front of young children surfaces online. Here is just one example of the duplicitous and hyper-sexualized content being trojan-horsed into children’s school curriculum. Parents are up against a destructive and predatory ideology, one supported and pushed by every major power center in the country from Hollywood to the State Department.
This ideology is pushed onto the public by:
Government funding and patronage schemes which reward schools, local governments, and non-profits with tax dollars and resources for promoting gender ideology.
Politicians who find the countless niche tribal groups that gender ideology creates easy to manipulate for fundraising, protesting, and berating their political rivals.
Secular zealots, who find themselves high up the ladder in corporate and academic leadership positions, especially human resources and marketing departments.
Press outlets and entertainment companies who are more concerned with activist work than reporting the truth or creating enjoyable art.
Profiteering corporations, pharmaceutical companies, and medical institutions who see gender ideology adherents as easy targets for their products, creating a plentiful revenue stream.
Many simply refuse to acknowledge it’s happening, or have no idea because they’ve checked out of their civic duty. In an interview, Virginia Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears had to explain what was going on to her host and guests of the show because the mainstream press refuses to cover the more grotesque instances of gender ideology’s predilection for grooming children into its ranks. In Canada, legislation was just announced that would ban all criticism and protesting within 100 meters of any ‘Drag Queen Story Hour’ events, effectively criminalizing Canadian’s ability to oppose the ideology at its most basic level – with free speech. Even still, our government is deliberately cultivating anti-Christian violence in favor of destructive gender ideologues: just take a look at this story, where the DOJ recommended no jail time for a trans Church vandal and assaulter committing an obvious hate crime. We are quickly approaching a point where this once-fringe ideology is being given the status of a state religion, complete with blasphemy laws and legal exemptions for violence, without so much as an explanation. How did we get here?
The Covenant School shooting represents an American Rubicon moment because it finally puts one aspect of the destruction of our society into shockingly clear perspective, but the truth is that this has been going on for a while now, right under our noses. The Colorado Springs shooter identified as non-binary. The Denver shooter from 2019 identified as trans. The Aberdeen shooter identified as trans. Twisting vulnerable individuals, especially children, into accepting this snake oil as their only means of coping with identity confusion has led to astronomically high rates of suicide and depression within this subset of the population. People and children are dying from this ideology and its aftereffects. It is dangerous to the individuals, and now, to the country at large.
Trans and gender ideology represents a threat to Middle America, and our elites know it: this is why it is being pushed by every major institution of power in the country from corporations to universities to the federal government. Don’t want to take my word for it? The American College of Pediatricians saw this coming back in 2016. It’s warning was prophetic:
“In its updated statement, Gender Dysphoria in Children, the American College of Pediatricians (College) calls for an end to the normalization of gender dysphoria (GD) in children because it has led to the ongoing experimentation upon, and sterilization of, confused children. Children with GD believe that they are something other than their biological sex. For children experiencing GD before the age of puberty, the confusion resolves over 80 percent of the time by late adolescence. There is a suppressed debate among professionals regarding the new treatment “standard” for childhood GD. This media-popularized standard involves the use of medicines that block puberty followed by life-long use of toxic cross-sex hormones—a combination that results in the sterilization of minors and other significant health risks. A review of current medical literature finds this approach to be rooted in an unscientific gender ideology that violates the long-standing medical ethics principle of “First do no harm.”
Mandates by public institutions to force the acceptance of GD as a normal variant of child development and require social accommodation, toxic hormone therapy and surgical removal of healthy body parts, are misguided and dangerous. The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, the Christian Medical Association, and the Catholic Medical Association share the College’s concern over this approach. Together our groups represent over 20,000 physicians and health professionals. Opposition also exists among liberal-leaning healthcare professionals who have created an online community known as Youth Trans Critical Professionals. However, those who dare to speak out in support of “First do no harm” often encounter significant public and private harassment, and many have lost or will lose their jobs.”
Gender ideology takes vulnerable kids, indoctrinates them into a suicidal reality-denying cult, isolates them from friends and family, grooms them into a vulnerable and confused state of mind, and lures them into making expensive and permanent medical choices such as bodily mutilation, chemical castration, and more. Supporters claim it is the only way to deal with the mental health concerns of gender confused youth, but this is a dubious claim at best, an outright lie at worst. The claim is not supported by studies, which are increasingly finding that gender transitioning actually worsens mental health outcomes. Not to mention that many of those who transition later revert to their biological gender after puberty. That doesn’t stop the press, the government, corporations and academic institutions from pushing the myth that gender dysphoric children need to have their lives and bodies permanently altered at the slightest feelings of confusion or discomfort – which are two defining characteristics of normal maturation in children. If a kid thinks he’s a bird, does that mean you should glue feathers to his arms and let him jump off the roof? The fact that this even needs to be argued means we have already lost the plot.
Regardless of the logical issues with it, our ruling class finds gender ideology perfectly to their liking. American middle-class power, which is built on stable families, is the single largest threat to their continued control over society. Gender ideology attacks the Middle Class on its foundational pillars: the relationship between men and women, the Church, and children. It leads to unstable trans converts who could be triggered into violence at any moment, cultivating fear and confusion in society and worsening the conditions of anarcho-tyranny. It indoctrinates children into an ideology that is fiercely loyal to the ruling class’s political interests and is highly activist in its political self-actualization. This dovetails with the left’s comfort with the tactics of intimidation and extortion through threats of political violence, and corporate America’s desire for loyal consumers who think of nothing but the next comfort or trend.
At the same time, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies eye children with gluttonous eyes in the hopes of sending them to the highly profitable mutilation mill of hormone therapy and plastic surgery. Corporations, meanwhile, are ecstatic to see a growing number of consumers who can be marketed too with ease based on their identity for any number of products: consumers who are more likely to remain childless and religiously unaffiliated, giving them more disposable income for distracting trinkets and lifestyle-affirming baubles. Our ruling elites are more than happy to eviscerate traditional society and destroy an entire generation of impressionable children if it gets them a single additional ounce of that truly precious resource - power. If the last few years have taught us anything, it’s that our elites will do anything to obtain more of it.
We know that the current regime will do anything and everything to satiate their increasingly desperate hunger for power. The message from the last two weeks is clear: anyone who dares stand against the regime’s newest social engineering pet project stands against that quest for power, and might just meet the same fate as the victims at the Covenant School as a result. Taking a group that is more prone to suicide and telling them that there is an attempted “genocide” being waged by the regime’s political enemies gives those people a road to martyrdom. The President, Democrats, the press, activists, academia, and major corporations are essentially declaring open season on children and anyone in society who dares to oppose the destruction of their innocence, without qualm or concern.
Democrat-led state legislatures are even threatening to take children from parents who don’t consent to giving their kids (as young as 13 years old) chemical castration drugs. In this way, we see gender ideology as part of a potentially larger shift in our society, resembling a religious movement more than a political one. This new state-sponsored religion has been repeatedly propped up by the government and their corporate allies, and their behavior in the last two weeks is the equivalent of a declaring a fatwa against those they see as infidels: us.
So how can we deal with this in a society that has eliminated healthy moral judgements, fears Christianity, and worships individual access to worldly pleasure more than the well-being of innocent people? Many across ideologies and religions are finally realizing how far things have gone, but the response is sluggish and confused, addled by whiplash from the pace of change and our cultural obsession with compassion for those suffering from what is, at the end of the day, a mental illness. How can we not want to help these people feel better? It is exactly this mentality that has been exploited by radical leftists and their ruling class masters. Just give us an inch here, an inch there, we won’t bite, we promise it’s just this one time. We promise it won’t be used against you: now give us your children unless you want someone to shoot up their schools.
They lied, and we should have known better. At the end of the day, it is we the people who fell asleep at the wheel; it is we who allowed this ideology to infect our educational system and our popular culture; it is we who just wanted to kick back, live and let live, ignoring the obvious wolves at the door as they drooled over the prospect of grooming children into a lecherous cult that guarantees political loyalty to the ruling class through patronage and prestige systems; it is we who forgot to protect the most vulnerable among us from parasitic corporations in their search for a steady source of financial sustenance through pharmaceutical dependence and propagandized marketing; it is we who have happily stood by while society has decayed; it is we who consistently ignored obvious problems, run for the hills, or fled for private schools at the first sign of trouble to avoid direct confrontation with the destructive forces in our midst. All this because we thought it would help people to enable them, to not judge them, and to be politically correct. We let this happen through fear, indifference, and ignorance.
We need to give gender-confused people the help they need by affirming reality through therapy and providing real treatment, not by enabling delusions or tricking them into bodily mutilation and drug dependence. We need to protect children from predators and activists who think children can consent to sexualization and mutilation, not ignore them for fear of ridicule. We need to act because refusing to stand against evil has consequences. There are activists who now feel emboldened enough by the recent trends to let their masks slip, like this activist who said that 9 year olds can consent to having sex with 50 year olds. Increasingly, we are now seeing some try to normalize pedophilia and rape. Take a good look at where we are and where we are headed. Realize that there is no off switch for the regime. Our ruling elites and their supporters will do anything and everything to obtain power, money, and prestige, even if that means pushing predatory ideologies.
It’s time the rest of us understood just how far our cadre of bourgeoise despots are willing to go on their quest for power, and how many lives they’re willing to destroy along the way. There is no going back from the way they have desecrated the victims of the Covenant School shooting. There is no going back from their approval of child mutilation. There is no going back from their approval of violence. There is no going back from their approval of murder.
Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, William Kinney, Cynthia Peak, Mike Hill, and Katherine Koonce. Each of these people had a life just two weeks ago. Each of them had family and friends who cared about them deeply and interacted with them every single day. Each of these people had a life. Each of these people mattered. Maybe not to the government, politicians, activists, press, or corporations, but to us and to God. These people all mattered in the eyes of God, and now they have found themselves resting with Him, eternally in peace. As for the rest of us - we are on a hard road, but it is a road we can avoid no longer.
Pray for the souls of the Covenant victims and the souls of their families. Pray for the soul of our troubled nation, and its people. Pray for the strength to “stand athwart history, yelling stop, at a time when no one is inclined to do so.”
Ālea iacta est.
